The Centec XZ model tear drop style hose can only be used to replace another XZ Tear Drop style hose.
The Centec Systems XZ Series Direct Connection 30 foot 4-wire crushproof hose lets you control both the power brush and central vacuum system. The Centec XZ series utilizes the proprietary Tear Drop handle with connection system for Centec Systems wand sets. This hose can only be used as a replacement for other "tear drop" style hoses from Centec Systems. The XZ series hose will not fit standard wand sets with universal cord management. The Direct Connect style (also called a "Superhose" hose) uses a standard 1.5" wall end connector uses a special set of pins to carry the 120V power to the hose from Direct Connect type inlets (aka -SuperValves). The grip end features a 360° swivel ergonomic handle with three-way power switch and button locking stub. Fits only Centec Systems brand attachment sets that use the Tear Drop style handle. The Centec XZ Hose has been in the central vacuum market for many years and was sold under many brand names.

This hose will not interoperate with Plastiflex hoses, Beam hoses, Centec 3200 series hoses, Hayden SuperHose 2 hoses, KENMORE or VACUFLO brand inlets, or other non-standard inlets that do not measure 1.5" ID. The XZ Tear Drop style hose does not fit any of the kits, wands or power nozzles sold on the Vacdepot website.
