Aspria Souverän Deluxe CVA360D Features & Specifications
Better, Smarter, Faster.
The EBK360 model includes features more commonly required by the USA vacuum market including step-on height adjuster, new technology features like the LED headlight array and new performance upgrades including the sculptured auger bristle brush roller. Thousands of hours in development at Wessel-Werk research & engineering, the EBK360 powerbrush delivers high powered agitation and sweeping performance in a highly maneuverable chassis with lower noise and less weight than it's predecessor. The CVA360 Series powerbrush attachment sets clean better and faster using tools that are smarter in both design and function.
Wessel-Werk does not build vacuum cleaners but instead specializes in design and production of the nozzles all vacuums use. From EBK powered household carpet brush to Industrial Düsa IRD500 (Düsa means "Nozzle"), a nearly 20 inch wide aluminum squeegee brush used to vacuum factory floors. Over the years most every manufacturer has turned to Wessel-Werk to make their vacuums perform better and become easier to use. Wessel-Werks prestigious reputation within the industry is unequaled. Their clients, vacuum nozzle users and even competitors respect the innovative engineering talent at Wessel-Werk that is focused on the task of making the best vacuum nozzles in the world.
The EBK360 is the latest powered brush from Wessel and like all other nozzles Wessel-Werk produces it will be used by many manufacturers to enhance their vacuum system, both portable and central vacuum alike. The Aspria Souverän central vacuum attachment kit with Wessel's EBK360 is a custom collection of components that have been selected by the central vacuum experts at Vacdepot which is unmatched by any OEM kit for quality, versatility and value. The attachments and accessories are selected to fit perfectly and match exactly the high standard our customers have come to expect from the Aspria product line.
The EBK360 brings truly all purpose carpet and rug cleaning to the stable of Wessel-Werk vacuum nozzles. An easy to use 5 position height adjuster allows the user to raise and lower the nozzle for the essential balance of brush action and airflow needed to vacuum carpet fibers of any length. Height adjustment also allows the EBK360 to remain easily maneuverable on the most plush of carpet fibers. Adjusting the power brush for the surface you are cleaning lets you set the appropriate brush action and airflow through the nozzle. A powerbrush set too low will brush the carpet but prevents airflow from passing freely through the fibers. This results in a vacuum that is both hard to push and one that does not remove embedded soils. A brush set too high does become easier to maneuver but without proper brush contact debris is not agitated from the carpet resulting in only a surface cleaning which leaves heavy soils in the fibers leading to traffic wear.
The 5 position height adjuster offers the correct height to clean any carpeted surface. Height adjustment is activated with a simple step-on button that can be changed at any time while cleaning. A height adjustment indicator window is positioned just above the pedal and viewable while standing behind the powerbrush. The clear lens of the adjuster window lets you easily see the current height position of the powerbrush as you scroll through the adjustments by stepping on the pedal. A second step-on button on top of the powerbrush releases the handle lock that allows the wand to recline in the normal vacuuming position. The handle release locks the wand into the upright position for storage or for quick stops while cleaning to move an object from your path. Locking the handle upright also allows you to transport the nozzle from room to room on it's two rear wheels for easy maneuvering.
The forward looking headlight lens of the EBK360 also holds one of the new features. While it's predecessor improved lamp life many times more than the usual incandescent bulb often found in power nozzles, the fluorescent tube light used in the EBK340 required a heavy steel power ballast that added unnecessary weight to the powerbrush. The EBK360 sports a new lightweight LED headlight array. Five high power LED's provide illumination for cleaning in dimly lit rooms or under beds where brush clogging objects lurk. Like the fluorescent lamp the new LED array shines bright for thousands of hours and is not susceptible to damage by bumps or bangs that invariable happen while vacuuming floors. The LED headlight array also allows the EBK360 to maintain a low profile for cleaning areas under furniture and in toe-kick spaces along cabinets.
To increase maneuverability and ease of use all of the EBK360's wheels were enlarged in both diameter and width. Larger wheels prevent the nozzle from sinking in to thick carpeting and becoming sluggish. The rear wheels are also moved back to be centered in the same plane as the swivel wand connector. This allows the vacuum users forward force to be routed to the wheels so the nozzle is moved forward instead of being pushed down into the carpet. The forward wheels ride on the steel height adjuster axel that lays in the base of the nozzle just behind the power brush. The forward wheels keep the front of the nozzle from being driven into the carpet and also provides lift over rises in the floor surface such as thresholds. All four wheels operate on chrome plated steel axels for life long wear. All wheels are also covered with soft molded tires for steady tracking on all floor surfaces and true multi-floor operation that will not damage hard floor surfaces of any kind, including wood or stone.
The bottom of the EBK360 includes many innovative features including Wessel-Werk exclusive designs. The EBK360 provides excellent side cleaning with thread collectors on both side of the nozzle's shoe. The nozzle shoe is the opening that surrounds the brush and the EBK360's shoe is unique in it's fully open design that does not require support ribs like many other brushes. The open shoe allows full brush contact and lessens the "track marks" that other nozzles leave behind. The open shoe is also maintenance efficient and allows easy removal of threads or long hair that may wrap around the brush. Simply run a succor across the brush cutting all the threads and hair, turn the brush over and start the vacuum for quick and clean removal.
The brush roller ends are sealed in the nozzle housing to prevent damaging debris from entering the axel connections or cog belt drive. The vacuum intake is a center mounted funnel that provides even suction and airflow to both sides of the brush roll for consistent performance. A final feature found only on Wessel-Werk power nozzles is the all surface squeegee strip. While most powered nozzles claim to provide hard floor cleaning capability, few actually do. The dry squeegee mounted just behind the brush roller works on all floor surfaces by focusing the suction inside the brush shoe. For both carpets and hard floors the squeegee maintains airflow velocity at the opening that is critical for good pickup. On hard floors the squeegee also prevents debris from passing under the nozzle for more efficient single pass cleaning.
Also clearly visible from the bottom of the powerbrush is the new sculptured brush roller. The trim & fit roller utilizes a chevron brush configuration which brings debris that is beaten from the surface to the center mounted vacuum intake more efficiently. The sculptured roller body also moves airflow with paddle action using the motion of the roller agitate, sweep and push debris and airflow into the system.
The solid polycarbonate body of the brush roller is nearly indestructible, high speed balanced and uses thread catchers on each end to prevent debris from entering the axel. The solid core design prevents warpage that leads to excessive vibration and noise, while the steel and bronze bushings provide lifetime wear resistance and protection from dirt and dust in the roller ends. The brush roller operates in a sealed "dirty air" cavity that is filled with negative pressure that moves debris which has been beaten, swept and pushed by the roller. In the "clean air" area of the nozzle the rollers' sprocket connects to the brush to the motor by a geared belt drive.
The geared brush roller and the geared motor are connected by a reinforced high strength geared belt. Like most quality powered nozzles, the EBK360 has a nonslip drive system that directly transfers the power of it's 250 watt brush motor. Unlike powered nozzles using flat rubber belts the EBK360 can provide ultra high speed operation, resulting in superior performance, not possible in rubber belted units. The EBK360's brush motor is also new with some very impressive features. Each end of the motors armature (spinning rotor) is carried in a full size 8mm sealed high speed ball bearing, the same sized used in many vacuums main motors. The armature also has 24 individual commutator bars, double that of most power nozzle motors, resulting in better heat dissipation and longer life. The frame of the motor is a steel skeleton instead of the usual plastic clam shell. The steel frame provides both strength and heat dissipation, the later of which is provided by a full diameter cooling fan.
In a departure from standard design the brush roller motor is protected from overheating ny use of a thermal link which is banded to the motors copper windings. The thermal link automatically severs power to the motor when a set temperature is reached and reconnects power when the motors temperature falls below a safe level. Primary cooling is provided by the motors own full diameter cooling fan which pulls clean air from under the nozzle hood to wash over the motor while running. Not content to rely solely on the motors built in cooling fan, Wessel-Werk provides an elegant engineering solution to secondary cooling for the brush motor. Within the intake throat (the dirty air side) of the nozzle housing a small port is opened and ducted across a slot and into the motor compartment and the belt drive compartment.
Using a small bit of the vacuums suction, cool air is moved through hidden vents at both rear wheels. The cool clean airflow is carried over the motors commutator and brushes where significant heat is generated. Cool clean air is also pulled through the compartment housing the brush roller sprocket, geared belt and motor pulley keeping the area both clean of debris and cool from the forces of friction. All of the critical heat generating components of the EBK360 are provided continuous cooling when connected with the vacuum system, even when the brush motor is not running. A design such as secondary brush cooling is inconceivable to vacuum cleaner manufacturers just makes common sense to a vacuum cleaner nozzle manufacturer.
The vacuum cooling and cleaning chamber is just one of the many unique features in the new EBK360, but the innovation our staff liked the most may not be something that you would immediately recognize as significantly important. The cleaning power of the EBK360 carpet nozzle is derived from it's powerful, high speed geared belt driven brush roller. Geared belt systems require control hardware and firmware to protect the motor from jamming in the brush and properly regulate performance. Like most other geared belt drive system the EBK360 will shut down the motor if an obstruction blocks the brush from spinning. If you accidently vacuum a sock into the nozzle the control system will shut down the brush in less than a second. Once you remove the obstruction and restart the powerbrush the control circuit will reset and your ready to clean - no harm, no foul.
These vacuum control systems consist of many components and most often the parts are soldered to a circuit board. Diodes, potentiometers, resisters, regulators, sensors and breakers on a match-book sized circuit board formed the heart of the geared belt control system. Most everyone whom has taken an electromechanical device in for repair has heard the words "It's the control board". Soldered circuit control boards are not the most reliable components, particularly inside the harsh environment of a vacuum powerbrush. The EBK360 has for the first time done away with the "circuit control board".
Fewer parts with lower replacement cost and higher reliability are now provided in a conectorized environment within the EBK360. In addition to the motor mounted self-resetting thermal breaker, a single circuit self-resetting overload protector takes the place of old fashioned mechanical push-button circuit breakers and sensors. To assure proper activation of the circuit protector and eliminate EMI feedback from the motor an inline electronic noise suppressor smooths out the power delivered to the system. That's it., the entire control system is held in two external modules with inline connectors. We never like circuit control boards in power nozzles, that's why the new electrical system in the EBK360 is our favourite new feature.
The same common sense engineering solutions are applied to other areas inside the power brush including the height adjuster which uses a steel reinforcement bar inside the step-on pedal to work with steel lever in the nozzle base to move the adjuster. Incredible engineering goes into every aspect of designing and using the EBK360 powerbrush right down to the rear wheels. Most other nozzle systems use a plastic axel inserted or molded as part of the wheel. The EBK360 uses a steel axel with a floating wheel the gives the nozzle easy movement and lifelong wear in a part that is often a problem for other nozzles after just a few years or normal use.
We can get an overall idea of engineering within the EBK360 by looking at the last component under the powered nozzles hood, the steel counter balance plates. While no other power nozzle manufacturer has ever considered the need to balance the weight of the motor inside the nozzle, Wessel-Werk never considered the idea of not doing so. Experience through Tradition - Performance through Innovation This is the culture of design at Wessel-Werk.
Some central vacuum cleaner companies make their own powered nozzle and it is only a smaller part of the larger machine they must produce to have a complete product offering. Wessel-Werk makes only vacuum nozzles. Each nozzle is the complete machine and the singular concern of Wessel-Werk. Every nozzle design is built to stand on it's own and increase the efficiency of the vacuum system it's customer (the vacuum cleaner manufacturer) connects it to.
In the mind of a Wessel-Werk nozzle design engineer the brushing performance, noise profile, reliability and ease of usage are all calculations based on a balanced nozzle design. An unbalanced nozzle may exhibit higher wear on one side of the brush roller or may pull the nozzle to one side during operation. Without the counter weight, side cleaning could be negatively effected, an unwelcome noise could be introduced or airflow may be shifted resulting in lower efficiency in part of the nozzle. These small deficiencies may matter very little to the manufacturer building a suction canister power unit, but are unacceptable to the manufacturer obsessed with a singular goal of building the worlds finest vacuum nozzle.
This is the reason why Wessel-Werk remains the worlds premier vacuum nozzle manufacturer. Engineering details have consequences for cleaning system performance, something often overlooked by vacuum manufacturers building those bright shinny portable vacuums who seem more concerned with winning the beauty contest on the store shelves (Sorry Dyson!).
One component of the EBK360 that was carried over from it's predecessor is the fully articulating swivel joint, commonly referred to as the nozzles neck. The unique design of the swivel joint in vacuum nozzles is a known Wessel-Werk trait. The swivel joint makes the powered brush steerable. Turn the hose handle and the power nozzle turns with you. The steerable neck allows you to vacuum in a more natural pattern instead of the tiring push-pull fan pattern that is required to position other powered nozzles with regular tilting-only necks. The articulating joint tilts a full 90° which allows the handle to lay completely flat while the powerbrush stays on the floor for cleaning. This lets you insert the power nozzle under furniture and beds for removing dust and allergens. The articulating joint also swivels a full 180° left and right for exceptional maneuverability in cleaning around furniture and other objects on the floor. The EBK360's neck also has one other feature, a function that symbolizes convenience in central cleaning systems: Quick Disconnect.
A simple to use toe-operated pedal on the swivel joint unlocks the neck of the power brush from the vacuum wand. Before QDC (quick disconnect) the regimen to change vacuum nozzle was cumbersome at best. Pushing small buttons with your fingers, unplugging the power cord from under the hose grip, twisting the vacuum wand from the nozzle and finally reconnecting a new nozzle. For many with low hand strength the torture of pushing in the metal button while twisting and pulling the nozzle from the wand resulted in an unwillingness to change tools all together. With the EBK360's QDC you push on the release pedal with your toe and pull the wand straight out of the nozzle by it's hose grip. No buttons, no cords, no problem.
The EBK360 powered nozzle is connected to the vacuums hose by the Inox class MYR67WW integrated stainless steel telescopic wand from Myraton. Inox Class MYR67WW telescopic wand is a double QDC button lock integrated power cord wand designed specifically for use with Wessel-Werk powered nozzles.
The swivel neck of the powered nozzle has a recessed power connector and button lock receiver. When the wand is connected to the nozzle the matching power plug from the wand is connected to the recessed receiver and the button lock wand is connected with it's matching lock receiver resulting in a suction and electric connection that mates perfectly with no leaks.
The new integrated power cord design not only covers the external hanging coil-cord, it also sports a new hose end connection system. The integrated wand expands to 38½ inches in length, the reach required to use with a powered nozzle for carpet cleaning. Push button extension and retraction glides to position in one inch increments with a fully collapsed length of 24¾ inches. The Integrated wands exceptional quality is evident in both design and build using a proven Myraton telescoping platform that offers many years of trouble free service.
The Myraton integrated stainless steel wand is a work of art as much as a technical achievement. The new design fuses the upper cord management connection with the hose quick release button. The cord management connection keeps the integrated cord in place at all times and ready for use with a flush connection electric hose. The integrated power cord uses a mini coil concealed within a telescopic sleeve to extend in length with the wand and terminates in the quick release connector used on the Wessel-Werk EBK360 power nozzle. This integrated design is the final key that completely eliminates external cords of any kind in the Aspria Souverän central vacuum attachment set, which increases reliability and adds incredible maneuverability to a now fully integrated product from inlet to nozzle.
High quality stainless steel construction offers the strongest wand design available with permanent, life long stain and corrosion resistance. Beautiful brushed finish shows quality workmanship that will not rust, chip, scratch or peel and will remain functional and good looking for years to come. The highly reliable interference ratchet locking system is exceptionally smooth to operate with extended life offering years of trouble free service.
All Aspria powerbrush attachment sets include the very best electric hose. The Plastiflex brand 4-wire Control Clean Dual Power crush-proof hose is the most widely used power hose for central cleaning systems in the world. The Aspria attachment set hoses are built at Plastiflex North America using the Electraflex hose body, an oversized 1 3/8" ID with a smooth bore interior for better airflow properties. The larger hose interior can result in an estimated 20% increase of airflow performance over standard diameter hoses. The larger interior diameter hose offers less resistance for increased velocity and through flow.
The lightweight crush-proof hose comes standard in 30 foot lengths with an optional 35ft upgrade available at order. The soft molded design of the ElectraFlex© hose body features a high thread count and a rounded rib design that won't bite or grab and can make amazingly sharp turns with crimping. Plastiflex uses proprietary formulations of plastics to give the hose a soft texture that is flexible, but strong enough to endure years of heavy use in the home. Newer crush-proof hoses systems use stranded power & signal wires which are moulded into the ribs of the hose. Crush-proof hoses weigh 30% less than the older wire-moulded hoses and are additionally resistant to accidental crush damage. Vacdepot offers many brands and styles of vacuum hose but we always recommend Plastiflex for powered central vacuum systems. No other brand of hose is more flexible or has proven to be nearly as reliable as the Plastiflex brand for the last 20 years.
The handgrip of the Control Clean hose has become the gold standard in central vacuum hoses, the ergonomic Gas-Pump Grip. A full loop on the handle gives you a positive hold that requires less effort when pulling back. Keeping the grab area small also means less fatigue on your fingers and wrist than when gripping the full diameter of hose without the gas-pump grip. All Aspria Souverän attachment sets use the full 360° swivel handle design that prevents the hose from tangling while you clean. An easy to use thumb operated switch provides 3 positions for total control of your central cleaning system. You can power just the suction unit alone, the suction unit and carpet brush unit together or power all devices off from the handle without having to unplug the hose from the wall to stop the system.
The wall end of the Control Clean hose is available in the two standard CVS hose configurations; universal corded connection or direct connection. Both systems use a 1.5" diameter connection with low-volt control circuit band moulded into the hose tip. The difference between Universal and Direct connection hose styles is how the high-voltage is passed to the hose. Universal connection uses an 8ft long external cord that plugs into an electrical outlet near the vacuum inlet. This is common for many older systems. Universal inlets have been used for the last 30+ years by most every manufacturer. Direct connection systems are newer and were installed beginning in the early 1990's. This system derives high-voltage directly from the inlet. Instead of an external power cord the hose end has two small male pins about 3/8" apart from each other projecting from the tip of the hose.
Direct connection inlets (also called supervalve or electravalve powered inlets) have a small receptacle in the face of the valve and are marked "120V" for 120 volts. You choose the type of hose connection you need to work with your existing inlet vales or the type of valve you will be installing with a new CV system.
Universal and Direct Connect standard hoses fit the vast majority of vacuum inlets in use today. A few older inlets used proprietary connection styles to be aware of; Kenmore and Bud inlets used a smaller 1.25" connection. For these systems an adapter can be attached to the hose which will allow the new system to work with your existing inlets. The other proprietary valve still in use today is the Vacuflo automatic low-volt inlet valve. This system uses a set of external pins for the low-volt connection instead of the hose tip connector and a slightly larger diameter hose connection.
These valves are easy to identify as they are marked "Vacuflo" and use 4 screws to attach them to the wall instead of two. If you would like to use a powered brush kit with your existing Vacuflo inlets please contact us for the optional adapters needed before you order. More information about hoses and inlets is available in the article Central Vacuum Hoses and Inlets Explained under the articles tab.
The Wessel-Werk EBK360 powerbrush, Myraton MYR67WW Integrated power wand and Plastiflex Control Clean dual voltage hose are the base components of each version of the CVA360 attachment set. Above floor nozzles, kit accessories and hard surface tools described in the remainder of this review will vary in design, quality and quantity in each model of the CVA360 kit. A handy quick reference comparison chart is available for a summary of the included components in each model.
For hard floor cleaning both the CVA360D kit include the worlds most maneuverable hard floor brush. The Wessel-Werk D330 Turn & Clean dual axis hard floor brush sets a new standard for maneuverability and performance. With a castle cut full wrap of mixed density bristles the D330 cleans in every direction it is moved. With an extra wide 13" cleaning path the D330 makes quick work of larger areas and the patented swivel pivot connection allows effortless maneuvering in tight spaces unlike any other floor brush.
The new D330 Turn-N-Clean adds another axis to the floor nozzles maneuverability. The unique D330's nozzle connector allows for a full 180° swivel, and also provides for a full 90° pivot. Most importantly the D330 can both pivot and swivel at the same time which allows you to hold the nozzle in most any position. Have you ever wanted to turn your floor brush sideways and clean in a tight space? This unique patented nozzle connector allows the D330 Turn & Clean to reach into spaces no ordinary floor nozzle would ever fit. And it does so with ease: no buttons, pedals or latches - just Turn the handle and Clean.
The nimble posture and amazing flexibility of the D330 is made possible by Wessel-Werk design engineers employing the use of Cardan Joint principles. This unique connection of floor brush to the vacuum wand uses multiple rigid connections to flex like a hose for nearly unlimited movement and still provide the support need for easy maneuvering. Unlike conventional floor nozzles that only clean in standard front-to-back motion, the D330 can also clean in a sweeping side-to-side motion with the floor nozzle parallel to your body. The side-to-side sweeping motion is a favourite method of commercial cleaners for maintaining large areas of floors in a single pass with incredible speed. Of course the D330 excels at the conventional front to back cleaning motion and the full wrap of castle cut bristles cleans in both forward and backward motions, unlike conventional floor brushes.
The brush design of the D330 is also innovative in the full wrap castle cut mixed fill bristle set which uses both synthetic and natural fibers for both flexibility and strength. A brush stiffener shadows the castle cut bristle set keeping the bristles in place and preventing bristle flare which reduces performance. The castle cut bristle set with its alternating cut-outs support the brush and regulates airflow though the nozzle for excellent performance without suction sealing against the floor, even with hi-flow vacuum systems.
The mixed density bristle set wraps the entire perimeter of the D330 for effective cleaning in every direction and effective edge cleaning without "bull-dozing" the dirt in front or behind the nozzle. A larger cut-out pattern on the front bristle set allows in larger debris while a smaller opening in the rear bristle set provides more surface contact to catch small objects passing under the nozzle. The forward-swept nozzle housing configuration puts more bristle at the front of the cleaning path for reaching into corners.
Like other Wessel-Werk cleaning nozzles the D330 operates with very low noise and low weight. Each Wessel-Werk nozzle design is processed first through a virtual environment, then a real life acoustics lab where noises can be tuned out of the final design which further reduces the "chore" of the cleaning task. The D330 Turn & Clean floor brush is more than 3 times quieter than our standard 12" hard floor brush.
Our most popular 12" hard floor brush weights 10.5 ounces. The D330, including the wider 13" cleaning path weighs only 9.6 ounces. Because the D330 is an engineered mono-body built-up design, Wessel-Werk eliminates the extra weight while providing more maneuverability and function than regular floor brushes. Thanks to the unique bristle set arrangement and swivel pivot connector the Turn & Clean is simple to use and requires less hand strength to clean with than standard floor nozzles for less wrist fatigue. The D330 floats on most hard floors and is very easy to steer from the handle using a natural cleaning motion. The D330 also has a tough side. The nozzle body is moulded from polypropylene for a nearly indestructible chassis that will not mark or mar walls, baseboards or furniture.
The CVA360D Souverän attachment set includes the Deluxe Crevice, Dusting and Upholstery vacuum tools. The Upholstery tool features a scrubbing bristle set and a soft vinyl cover that is non-marking. The crevice nozzle is made from rigid polystyrene for strength and wear resistance. The Deluxe Dusting brush uses soft natural fibers in a unique oval shape to clean and dust into corners while gently vacuuming delicate objects.
The deluxe vinyl upholstery tool included in the is 6" (152mm) wide with a scalloped bottom plate insert and a grooming brush. The shoe design insures continuous air-flow without the need for a suction reducer, eliminating "seal off". The brush strip gently engages upholstery to lift debris and groom surfaces. The brush also helps to remove hair, pet fur, lint and other clingy soils that suction alone will not remove. The soft outer cover will not mar light colored furniture or scratch soft surfaces and the friction fitting connector will allow use directly at the end of the hose or with any wand extension.
The deluxe series crevice tool is 13" (330mm) long with flat profile and slots for those "hard-to-reach" corners and crevices where dust and debris can hide. Slots provide additional airflow along the cleaning surface underneath furniture and cabinets. Made of textured styrene the crevice tool is strong enough to take abuse but also just a bit flexible to keep it from breaking. Most often crevice tools are used for cleaning areas and objects never conceived of by the engineers, and are jammed into, next to, under and between anything and everything. Realizing long ago that crevice tools are used often, and often abused, the crevice tool was redesigned to stand up to rigorous use. The extra length of the crevice nozzle, a full 13 inches, helps you to continue jamming, pushing and prying the crevice tool wherever you need to clean.
The Deluxe series dusting brush is part of the best in breed cleaning series. The fill bristle is long flexible, composed of natural materials for gentle cleaning and extended life. The softer vinyl case that surrounds the duster is pliable and designed to give when needed to better form to the hose coupling. The vinyl case material is also non-marring and won't scratch furniture or leave marks on the work. The unique body design of the tool is a compressed oval that allows for more coverage than conventional round dusting brushes. The brushes opening is wide enough to allow unobstructed cleaning but narrow enough to allow for acceleration of the vacuumed air leading to greater efficiency at the point of contact for dust removal. Unlike conventional round dusting brushes the Deluxe series does a great job of cleaning into corner at baseboards and shelves.
For additional extra reach and utility cleaning the Souverän attachment set includes two 20" long styrene wands. The lightweight wands can be added to the power wand for extra reach overhead on ceilings, shelving, windows, ceiling fans and more. The utility wands can also be used directly on the hose for quick pick-ups directly on the floor or for use with the floor brush when the power wand is not available. The utility wands are also great for all-purpose cleaning in areas where you may not want to use a metal wand including in the car or the garage. Each end of the utility wands are friction fit for fast connection to the hose and tools and on-the-fly adjustment not possible in button locking wands.
To keep all of the CVA360's tools neat and tidy, storage is provided in the Deluxe synthetic fabric storage bag with gusseted deep pockets for holding small and large vacuum nozzles. Two smaller side pockets with straps will hold the included utility wands while the larger tools fit within the center. The top of the storage bag has a full width support which keeps the bag from folding while hanging and preventing you from finding the vacuum tool you need. The fabric storage features a strong loop of nylon at the top so the bag can hang on the included hose racks storage hook. You can also hang the loop over a coat hanger and store the tools on a closet rod. Easy to transport, the fabric storage bag is an easy way to move all your tools to the area being cleaned, instead of walking back and forth to your storage closet to retrieve one tool at a time.
Hose storage in the CVA360D kit is the Eco-Pro Deluxe hose holder. Made of rugged polypropylene the deluxe hose hanger provides plenty of space to keep your hose off the floor, preventing damage. Easy to mount to any wall with screws or wall anchors (not included) the hose hanger provides plenty of space for larger diameter hoses, 30ft or 35ft. Keeping your hose coiled and off the floor will greatly extend its cleaning life and helps to keep it flexible for many years. The deluxe hose hanger also has a hook under the hose support to hang the cloth tool storage caddy. Two screws will mount the hose hanger to a single vertical stud for secure storage out of the way and off the floor.
Providing for additional off the floor storage the CVA360D kit include two (2) wall mount wand holders. These unique devices mount directly to the wall with included screws or wall anchors and feature a flexing, pivoting rubber strap. To store the telescopic wand just push the wand into the rubber strap and it locks into place supporting the full weight of wand and attached tool, hanging on the wall and out of the way.
Deluxe Souverän attachment kits also include the wand-mount tool holder. This handy device snaps onto the integrated telescopic wand and provides three connectors to store the dust brush, crevice tool and upholstery nozzle on the wand while you vacuum your floors. If you prefer, the wand caddie can also attach to the secondary telescopic wand instead. Having your above-floor-tools in reach at all times can increase efficiency and give you the opportunity to do detail cleaning when you want without trekking back to the storage closet to get the nozzle you need.
As part of the Deluxe series upgrade the CVA360D model includes additional attachments and accessories not found in the standard CVA360 attachment set, including the following components.
In addition to the telescopic integrated power wand and two utility plastic wands the CVA360D Deluxe includes an additional telescopic steel wand for secondary use with the included bare floor tools or utility cleaning. The Eco-Pro Steel telescopic wand is a button lock hose end with friction connection on the tool end (Button/friction). Strong, reliable and easy to use. Eco-Pro 1¼" diameter telescopic steel wand extends from 24" compressed to 37.5" at full extension. Extension is operated with a thumb button and each increment extends the wand approximately 3/4 of an inch.
Eco Pro's telescopic wand extension system uses a reliable interference ratchet locking system to secure the wand at the users desired height. The interference ratchet is smooth to operate and highly reliable with fewer internal components. An internal seal connects bottom and top tubes to prevent leakage when adjusting the wand. Eco Pro wands use quality steel tube stock with a durable double chrome finish.
The button lock hole is covered with the Easy-Tab thumb saver which provides easy depression of the locking pin when disconnecting the wand from the hose. A button deflector is formed into the top of the wand that guides the button into the locking position. The tool end is friction fitting which fits all unpowered cleaning tools in the CVA360D attachment kit.
The RD285 Quick Clean Brushless nozzle is a combination floor cleaning tool suitable for both hard surfaces and rugs. This unique floor nozzle is unlike most others and uses no bristles. If you like to vacuum quickly the RD285 is the best floor nozzle for moving through the job fast. With no bristle to clog with hair and dirt you will never need to stop while cleaning your floor to unstuff your floor tool. The RD285 uses it's special design to focus airflow in a unique pattern to mimic the function of bristles in a regular floor nozzle.
The International Forum Design Award winning vacuum nozzle has many unique and thoughtful features including large easy rolling rear wheels, tilting and swiveling nozzle connector, ultra-low profile design, embedded thread & lint lifters and of course the multi-purpose design that allows use on hard floors as well as rugs. A set of flexible sealing blades flank the intake which forces airflow to concentrate across the floors surface.
Using airflow design to duplicate the function of bristles allows the RD285 to clean without a build-up of debris at the nozzle and prevent bull-dozing. The brushless design also makes the RD285 uniquely well suited to cleaning homes with indoor pets and their troublesome shed fur. The bristle free RD285 can gulp down mounds of fur without clogging.
The RD285's combination function uses the same cleaning dynamics to vacuum rugs with airflow velocity which quickly lifts soils from carpet fibers using the sealing blades to concentrate airflow on the surface. To vacuum clingy soils, including hair and fur, the RD285 employs two directional thread lifters. Each strip cleans in one direction and release the debris into the airflow in the other direction, self cleaning on each pass as you vacuum. The thread lifters allow you to scrub trouble spots on rugs that hold clingy soils.
The RD285 is an excellent addition to a powered carpet cleaning nozzle in homes with hard floors mixed with wall-to-wall carpets. For homes with primarily hard floors the RD285 can provide a quick-clean nozzle for all surface cleaning with the added function of rug vacuuming for quick clean ups. For those with indoor pets the brushless RD285 is particularly well designed to deal with copious amounts of fur our friends can leave behind.
At just over eleven inches wide the RD285 is comfortable to use in home with large open floor plans, though the highly maneuverable nozzle connector combined with brushless intake and fast wheels help the RD285 to excel in smaller and tight spaces that seem to attract so many dust bunnies.
One of our most popular cleaning tools for central vacuum owners is the Turbo Hand Nozzle. The amazing turbo cleaning tool dramatically enhances cleaning ability of any vacuum system in the area of upholstery, stairs, car interiors and any other fabric or textile covered area too small to be cleaned by the full size EBK360 Power Brush.
The German made Wessel-Werk PT160 turbine tool is a tiny marvel that uses the air stream produced by the CVS power unit to turn the brush roll, adding agitation without the use of electricity. As central vacuum system power units generally produce significantly more airflow than portable vacuum cleaners, the PT160 turbo brush works particularly well in the CVA360D attachment kit. The PT160 Turbo Nozzle gives you the power you need to quickly remove all manor of surface debris, including clingy hair, lint and fibers that wind themselves into the surface.
Agitation at the surface you are cleaning greatly increases the vacuum's ability to move embedded particles from the carpeted or upholstered area into the vacuum system. The Wessel-Werk Turbine hand tool can increase your cleaning efficiency in these areas 2 to 5 times standard cleaning ability. The PT160 Turbine system is simple and effective. The air is pulled through the tool and across two fans. As the air turns the fans, the fan shaft turns a geared belt connected to the brush roller.
The Wessel-Werk PT160 Turbo Nozzle uses a swivel shoe plate that keep the spinning brush in constant contact with the surface for proper agitation and airflow. The swivel shoe lets you vacuum uneven and non-flat surfaces without requiring constant monitoring of the brush angle while you clean. The swivel shoe plate also lets the turbo nozzle clean in forward and reverse directions equally well and provides excellent cleaning at the side of the nozzle.
The turbine system is not new technology and has been in use for quite a number of years. What is new about this system is the overall size of the tool. The width of the cleaning nozzle is just 6". The nozzle depth is just 2" with a full tool length of only 8". The small size of this tool allows you to reach areas such as on stairs, sofas and car interiors where a full power nozzle will not fit. Wessel-Werk's PT160 Turbo Nozzle also includes an easy access drive system with a push button to reach the interior. The brush roller, geared belt and turbine are accessible for easy maintenance and regular cleaning to keep the turbo performing at peek efficiency. Any oversized items accidently pulled into the nozzle are easily removable on the fly without the need for tools. The turbo hand tool is an extra add-on in most CVS attachment kits at a price of $40 or more. The CVA360D Souverän Deluxe attachment set includes the Wessel-Werk PT160 turbo nozzle.
Perhaps the most often ordered central vacuum accessory is the Vacsoc hose cover. A long time favourite of many central vacuum owners the once optional knit hose cover has become a must have. As part of the CVA360D Deluxe attachment set a Vacsoc knit hose cover is included with professional installation on the power hose.
The Vacsoc was developed as a protective cover and the knitted Vacsoc was built tough for that purpose. It was a homeowner and central vacuum user that developed the Vacsoc years ago, frustrated with marks on his walls caused by his central vacuum hose. The need for the Vacsoc was obvious and a brand was born. The Plastiflex Control Clean dual power crush-proof hose is more flexible and lighter weight, a welcomed advancement from older hoses which scuffed and damaged walls and furniture. The new hose design is very much improved but it also benefits from the protection of a Vacsoc.
Along with protecting walls, furniture and baseboards in the home it also helps to protect the hose from twisting, kinking or getting caught on furniture. The Knitted Vacsoc also helps you to get a grip on the new crush-proof hose which has a smooth, slick finish and can be hard to gather up and store on the hanger. Originally developed to alleviate one frustration, the hose cover of today serves many more uses. The Knitted Vacsoc protects your home & your central vacuum hose as well as making your entire central vacuum system easier to use.
