The CV2600-LVT is a CVS cleaning system with LVT (Low-Voltage & Turbo). A Turbo drive brush system operates without any additional electricity, power cords or batteries which makes installation easier and less costly. Because of this the Turbo drive system is quite popular with retro-fit applications where it may be impossible to supply electricity to the inlet valves or place valves near electrical outlets. The turbine drive works by using the airpower from your central vacuum system. Airflow is pulled through the turbine drive which is connected to the brush roller by a no-stretch belt. Both power and speed are given to the brush roller though gearing and reduction in the drive system. The result is powerful agitation for cleaning carpeted surfaces with full suction power.

Turbo Drive brush systems like the Turbocat require good airflow to operate correctly. The turbine drive needs the energy of the moving airflow to spin the turbine, which reduces the airflow that is delivered to the cleaning surface. Airflow is a factor of cleaning that is reduced with distance from the power source. Simply put, the farther the distance from power unit to turbo brush, the less performance at the tool. Using a turbo attachment kit in a large installation will either require a larger suction motor to compensate for the increased distance or result in less cleaning power. This is why in larger installations where more pipe is required or more valves are used it is often best to clean with an electrically powered brush system.

The new Turbocat Zoom EX is manufactured by HP-Vacuflo, creators of the original TurboCat. Shown here in ONYX (black) color, it is also available in ICE CRYSTAL (blue) and PLATINUM (silver) colors at order. The marketing for the new EX series TurboCat claims "It's NOT your mother's vacuum". This refers to the many design enhancements over the previous TurboCat nozzles and the new sleek nozzle cover. Many of these design enhancements are covered under the Z-Tech Design (hence the name, Zoom). Building on the existing Turbocat performance is a great idea. With decades of reliable cleaning the Turbocat has been a proven performer and is admired by many in the industry as the very best air-driven carpet nozzle. The new EX model features a dual bristle row and spiral design (paddle like) that enhances airflow and pickup. The new brush arrangement is a crimped chevron with dual height bristles that bring all debris to the intake opening and ensures constant contact with the floor surface.

The base plate, also called the nozzle shoe, is surrounded by recessed channels both front and back to increase airflow which also increases brush performance. A larger intake port for the turbine system also increases performance and helps the system to ingest more debris. Other new upgrades include the self-tensioning belt. The new non-slip belt is a ribbed design which differs from the previous cogged unit, having vastly increased life span (belts nearly last forever) and lower operating noise. The Silent Drive non-slip belt and the new Run-Silent bearing isolators reduces vibration along with the noise and also lessens overall maintenance required by the nozzle.

Front wheels called easy-glide rollers (aka - threshold helpers) were added to assist in maneuvering the 13" wide cleaning path nozzle. With an unmatched low profile, full 90° tilt and full edge-to-edge cleaning the Turbocat EX nozzle can clean most anywhere you can imagine. The new nozzle wrap bumper covers more of the Turbocat to protect furniture from damage when cleaning with the system and the easy roll rear wheels lets the nozzle work efficiently on all floor surfaces.

The underside of the Turbocat Zoom features a quick-release turbine cover that can be removed for cleaning if large objects are inadvertently pulled into the nozzle. And while no nozzle is perfectly quiet, the Turbocat Zoom does have less noise than previous generations of the TurboCat. With a sound that is unique to turbine powered nozzles, the TurboCat Zoom runs with less noise but may not be as quiet as some of the better quality electric nozzles on the market such as the Wessel EBK340 (used in: Airvac VM series, Beam Serenity, Aspria Premium CV6855) or the Beam Q model.

Deluxe 30ft Low-Voltage Swivel Grip Hose
In the CV2600-LVT the "LV" designation indicates the system is equipped with a Low-Voltage hose - sometimes referred to as a "switched hose". The low-volt hose of the CV2600-LVT is a premium quality component with upgrade features not found on many others and a larger diameter than most hoses too. The hose of the Zoom Power Turbo gives you unsurpassed airflow and flexibility with an oversized 1 3/8" ID hose body. The larger diameter adds more room for the air to move through the hose while cleaning with less resistance providing you the best airwattage from your power unit, an estimated 20% increase in performance as compared to 1.25" hoses.

The lightweight low-voltage hose is made by the worlds leading hose manufacturer, Plastiflex with a soft molded ElectraFlex hose body. The Plastiflex hose is very flexible and can make sharp turns without cutting off the suction. The handgrip is an ergonomic "Gas-Pump Grip" design and features a simple to use low-volt thumb switch. The handle design also features a 360° swivel to reduce strain on both user and hose.

The full swivel Gas-Pump keeps you tangle free while moving about room-to-room and the finger-tip switch gives you complete control over the remote power unit. With a simple flip of the switch the power unit can be activated from the end of the hose. With a low-volt hose you need not return to the valve to activate or shut down your power unit. The tool end of the hose grip has a long wearing metal stub buton lock wand built-in which provides a rigid connection for tools and wands along with a variable suction control slider to lessen suction when cleaning delicate surfaces such as drapes.

The wall cuff provides wide dual connection points on the contact ring to provide a high level of reliability and compatibility with nearly all wall-valves on the market. The wall end is fully repairable if needed and provides a positive fit in the valve. The CV2600-LVT's hose wall end is a standard 1.5" fitting and fits nearly every valve we have tried it in with the exception of older Kenmore brand wall valves that measure 1.25". To further complement the lightweight Plastiflex low-volt hose we now include a high quality telescopic wand made of aluminum that is less than half the weight of conventional steel wands, only 10 ounces, comparable to plastic but with 10 times the strength.

The new telescopic wand has a durable black finish and adjusts fully from 22 inches to 39 inches in 1 inch increments. Deluxe Widepath Hard Floor Brush
When it comes to hard floors we made sure to include the best true hard floor brush. The Centec FT-855 natural bristle wide path 14 inch cleaning brush is made in the UK. The FT-855 floor tool exceeds the standard floor brush used in most generic central vacuum kits, particularly for uneven floor surfaces or homes with pets. With its unique castle cut design and soft vinyl cover the FT-855 lets you clean hard floors and walls quickly and safely.

The FT-855 is a heavy-duty floor brush suitable for home or commercial use. The expansive working width provides excellent coverage in large areas and is also very maneuverable with a full swivel neck. The FT-855 has a full wrap of natural fill bristle brush strips front and back with vinyl outboard rollers and a soft vinyl outer cover that keeps the tool from scratching or marring wood or laminate floors. The large (50mm) center opening allows for optimal airflow when working with the higher power supplied by central vacuum systems without drag, seal-off or excessive noise. The brush set is detachable for easy cleaning in the sink or dishwasher providing for years of trouble free use. The floor tool's connector is a standard friction fit for quick connection to the telescopic wand or for use with the ABS wand set.

The Not So Basic Three
While most every CVS attachment kit will include the three basic above the floor attachments: dusting brush, upholstery tool and crevice tool, we have included the best of the basic three in our custom CV2600-LVT attachment kit.

In every cleaning action, it is the tool at the direction of the user that gets the job done. Quality above the floor cleaning tools, just as with the FT-855 hard floor brush, not only get the job done faster but get it done better. The cleaning tool is where the suction meets the dirt and you need the best connection design between the two for superior performance. We had many choices available in this area and we selected the best for inclusion in our custom kit. To start with we replaced the regular round dusting brush with our professional dusting tool aptly named the Ultimate Dusting Brush; Wessel-Werk model UDB174-32. The UDB174 dusting tool is the nozzle we also ship with our commercial backpack vacuum systems for heavy duty cleaning where it is prized by maid services and professional cleaners.

The Ultimate Dusting Brush from Wessel is an indispensable tool in any cleaning arsenal. If you use your vacuum to clean above the floor or for other utility work, a dusting brush is often the tool you will use. Unfortunately the dusting brush included with most vacuums is too small to be used efficiently, has an inconvenient design or shape and may have bristles that are too short or made of material that is inflexible, leaving dust behind on the surface being cleaned.

With one tool, Wessel Werk has addressed all the deficiencies of regular dusting brushes. The cleaning face has been shaped for the way people clean. The UDB has a five-inch cleaning depth with a 1.5 inch protected opening. The elongated service end of the tool has nearly twice the cleaning area of standard dusting brushes letting the user do more work in a single pass. The top of the UDB is also tapered and the bristles swept forward letting you clean into corners and reach areas inaccessible to other tools; and the suction opening is tapered so suction is evenly distributed the whole length of the tool.

There are 68 individual tufts mounted in a double offset row to the chassis with raised connectors to hold the bristles securely to the tool. The soft bristles are longer to flex as the tool passes over the object being cleaned, using stored tension in the bending bristle to knock dust particles off the surface and into the air stream. The poly bristles and heavy-duty housing are also water washable and fit easily in the top rack of your dishwasher.

The deluxe vinyl upholstery tool included in the CV2600 is 6" (152mm) wide with a scalloped bottom plate insert and a grooming brush. The shoe design insures continuous air-flow without the need for a suction reducer, eliminating "seal off". The brush strip gently engages upholstery to lift debris and groom surfaces.

The brush also helps to remove hair, pet fur, lint and other clingy soils that suction alone will not remove. The soft outer cover will not mar light colored furniture or scratch soft surfaces and the friction fitting connector will allow use directly at the end of the hose or with any wand extension.

Our unique crevice tool is 13" (330mm) long with flat profile and slots for those "hard-to-reach" corners and crevices where dust and debris can hide. Slots provide additional airflow along the cleaning surface underneath furniture and cabinets. Made of textured ABS plastic the crevice tool is strong enough to take abuse but also just a bit flexible to keep it from breaking.

Most often crevice tools are used for cleaning areas and objects never conceived of by the engineers, and are jammed into, next to, under and between anything and everything. Realizing long ago that crevice tools are used often, and often abused, the crevice tool was redesigned to stand up to rigorous use. The extra length of the crevice nozzle, a full 13 inches, helps you to continue jamming, pushing and prying the crevice tool wherever you need to clean.

CV2600-LVT System Storage
Having your basic 3 in reach at all times can increase efficiency and give you the opportunity to do detail cleaning when needed. To keep your tools in reach while you clean floors, the CV2600-LVT includes the wand mount tool caddie to keep your three above the floor tools on hand, ready for use. The wand caddie snaps onto the telescopic aluminum wand and provides three connectors to store the dust brush, crevice tool and upholstery nozzle. If you prefer, the wand caddie can also attach to the ABS utility wand instead.

To keep all of your tools neat and tidy, storage is provided in a mesh storage bag with carry straps. The perfect place to store all of your tools including above floor nozzles and floor cleaning nozzles. With plenty of room for wands and tools the mesh storage bag keeps everything together when not in use so tools do not become lost or chew toys for the dog. The mesh storage features a strong nylon handle at the top so the bag can hang on a hook in your storage closet, over the included hose hanger, or you can hang the loop over a coat hanger and store the tools on a closet rod. The mesh design allows you to see at a glance which tools are stored. Easy to transport, the mesh storage bag is an easy way to move all your tools to the area being cleaned, instead of walking back and forth to your storage closet to retrieve one tool at a time.

A single loop hose hanger provides convenient hose storage. Made of polycarbonate and matched to the CV2600-LVT attachment kit, the hose hanger provides plenty of space to keep your hose coiled up off the floor, preventing damage. Easy to mount to any wall with screws or wall anchors, the hose hanger provides plenty of space for the hose, even when wrapped tightly in many shorter loops. Keeping your hose coiled and off the floor will greatly extend its cleaning life and help to keep it flexible for many years. The single loop design also provides a great place to hang your mesh storage bag as well.

Providing for "off the floor" storage the CV2600-LVT attachment kit also includes a wall mount wand holder. These unique devices mount directly to the wall with included screws or wall anchors and feature a flexing, pivoting rubber strap. To store the telescopic wand and FT-855 Floor Tool, just push the wand into the rubber strap and it locks into place supporting the full weight of wand and tool, hanging on the wall and out of the way.
